Responsibilities and Requirements

As Design Director, your mission is to deliver fitness gaming experiences which reinvent the genre, blending best-in-class workouts with immersive, deep gameplay. You’ll grow and lead a team of exceptional designers and ensure the player’s voice resonates across the company. Your primary responsibilities are:

  • Design, scope, prioritise and improve features on our launch game, Shardfall
  • Drive future titles from concept to live ops
  • Build high-quality fitness into the play experience in collaboration with the
  • Fitness and Hardware teams
  • Work directly with the CEO, Production Director and VP of Marketing on strategy and long-term planning
  • Hire, lead and develop a team of 3-5 Designers
  • Provide guidance and feedback to the Tech and Art teams
  • Turn pre- and post-launch player insights into actionable designs

About You

Ideally, you are as strong in communicating your ideas as you develop them. Previous experience in delivering high-quality games and concepts is a tremendous plus, but having worked on projects of comparable calibre will be considered.

  • Shipped 2+ games in Unity
  • Confident designing for GaaS titles
  • Experience in second-to-second and meta-design
  • Multiplayer/Social
  • Analysing and acting on player data
  • Leading a team of 2+ Designers

Desirable talents include:

  • Combat / ARPG experience
  • Fitness experience
  • Subscription experience
  • Motion input / unique player input experience
