Once upon a game...
They are on a mission to bring people together through shared play, making screen time social again.
They have created an immersive team challenge, which takes place in an interactive environment, where players work together to win.
The arena features a range of technologies including projection mapping, touch screens, motion tracking and surround sound to deliver a fun and immersive experience with no need for headsets.
They launched at the end of 2019 in London, and the results from our first base have been fantastic. People of all ages have come from in and around London, and have loved the experience
The role you play...
The Game Developer will be responsible for developing new games and updating existing ones. As part of our game development team, you will be responsible for ensuring the games are renowned as the most fun, immersive group experiences on the planet.
You will be building games for our unique immersive game environment, integrating motion tracking and touchscreen wall control systems. You will be immersed in the world of gaming and entertainment (and beyond) and bring passion and enthusiasm for games and group play. As we explore this new space, we prototype lots of ideas and test their potential in regular user-testing sessions. We use rapid iteration and data-driven feedback loops to discover the best ideas for our unique hardware.
What your week might look like...

Working with the Game Designer and Head of Content, to prototype new game concepts

Working with the Game Designer to refine gameplay based on user and team feedback

Methodical planning of your own work, with regular check-ins with your line manager to keep the team abreast of progress

Proactively manage game development day-to-day so you can swiftly identify and overcome roadblocks

At least 3 years’ professional development experience
-
2+ years Unity development experience

Good working knowledge of C# and general .NET framework, specifically regarding multi-threaded / asynchronous procedures and network communication

Full software life-cycle application development – Designing, coding, debugging, testing and documenting applications

Managing code base for live products
-
Worked in fast-growth or early-stage businesses

Worked in multi-disciplinary teams and understand how to manage different ways of working

Degree in relevant Computer Science / Programming / Development discipline

Have worked on AR / VR or mixed-reality game
