With multiple Game of the Year and BAFTA nominations endorsing its outstanding work, this studio not only collaborated with one of the most inclusive, thought-provoking video game series during the 2010s.

It is also doing joint work with one of the most legendary story-based studios on its brand revival and developing the first game that brings a cherished science-fiction property to the video game space.

Responsibilities and Requirements

As a Game Director, you will nurture, support, and evangelise the game’s creative vision. You will carry the studio’s team throughout the development process, crafting the perfect balance between storytelling and gameplay and leading the broad team towards creating a deeply personal game that fans will talk about for years to come.

Your responsibilities will be as follows:

  • Work closely with the Gameplay, Story, Art, and Production teams to create clever game loops that serve the narrative well, help craft a visually impressive art direction that supports the story’s ideas, and ensure each production stage gets done on quality and time
  • Collaborate with each team member to develop clear, ingenious strategies and overcome artistic and technical challenges along the way
  • Be open to feedback and creative input from all sources while protecting the project’s core vision
  • Lead the way through prototyping, builds, and schedules
  • Be a passionate leader each day

About You

  • At least eight years of experience in game development
  • At least three years of experience as a Lead Game Designer, Lead Writer, Art Director, Creative Director, or Game Director
  • Must have shipped at least one game in that role
  • A desire to work and support a diverse, inclusive development environment

Bonus skills would include:

  • Prior experience with narrative adventure games
  • Comprehensive knowledge of cinematic pipelines and workflows
  • Having worked in a complementary discipline, e.g. programming, art, design, animation, narrative, or production
