Once upon a game...

An indie studio which made one of the most recognised mobile games on the planet. 31 international awards, over 170mil+ downloads and partnerships with Tencent and Apple Arcade.

This game took the World by storm, redefining what a mobile and premium game could be to its players and the industry.

As a mobile first studio they look for their inspiration outside video games, have similar creative processes to PC/Console and have a distinctive art style.

The role you play...

Join them as a Lead Designer where you wil lead the game design of a new unannounced project.You will help define and maintain the strategic vision for the project, line managing other designers and creating best in class design solutions to project problems.

What your week might look like...

• Maintain and drive game design of project
• Achieve desired gameplay by designing mechanics, systems and create content
• Collaborate with Game Director to comprehend and pursue the overall project creative vision
• Communicate project design direction to team to assist in driving overall project quality and collaborate with other leads to manage scope and plan project
• Identify and rectify complications in game design production process
• Line manage and mentor other designers.

What we are looking for...

• 5+ years working in game design
• Have worked on a title from concept to full launch.
• Commercial background in a a game studio and / or commercial background working in successful development team
• Has more of a generalist skillset
• Has been the lead on at least one project and/or mentored other designers 
• Creative and design and creative instinct, able to appreciate prototyping and taking a feature from an idea to inspirational gameplay
• Strong passion for mobile games

You will get to work on a Fantasy/RPG/Action game where you will lead the design team making a major decision on day one.

This studio has a strong social mission to make exercise exciting for millions of people. They believe in gaming without guilt.

Having secured VC funding from some of the biggest names in Europe and the US, the founders are building their core game team. They're looking for gaming experts who want to go on this journey with them, bringing the mission to life and building fitness gaming as an industry in its own right.

This is your opportunity to be part of a project with global ambitions from the very start; in just 5 months they have sold over $600K of preorders and raised millions in investment, but there are still many crucial design decisions to be made. You would be a key part of laying the foundations.

The role you play...

Join the team as the Lead Game Designer. You will take the title from prototyping to ship, build and nurture your team and product to be best-in-class. Carve out a game to define a genre, overcoming the design challenges of exercise and make it fun for everyone who uses the product.

What your week might look like...

• Responsible for creating and developing the terrain for this next-generation environment. 
• Upgrade the design documentation.
• Define, test and refine key game features.
• Work alongside the Production Director to establish milestones and objectives.
• Identify and establish the best working practices.
• Run your team effectively, constantly allowing for personal and team-based growth.
• Establish customer game experience over years of play.

What we are looking for...

• Experience having shipped at least two titles as a Senior Designer or higher.
• Strong leadership and team management skills. 
• Good knowledge of texture mapping and material. 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
• 5 years minimum experience in design.
• Bachelor's degree in an art-based subject or equivalent. 
• Experience working on at least one AAA title.
