Once upon a game...

A new studio formed just two years ago, already taking the world by storm!

A small but mighty team of passionate and experienced gamemakers working together to create video game experiences that simply do not exist in the world today.

Using their technical and creative skill sets, to blur the lines between playing and making.

The role you play...

You will be working on a brand new unannounced action game, alongside a group of talented professionals. It will be your responsibility to use your excellent knowlege and experience to take control of the technical design and game features. 

You will work closely with designers in order to produce easy-to-use systems that are concise and can allow for experimenatation. They are building the game in Unreal (C++) and are using a scripting language called Angelscript. 

What your week might look like...

  • It will be important that you employ a positive can-do attitude as will spend a great deal of time working in a fast-paced problem solving environment 
  • You will be writing clear and consistent code.
  • Working with members of all different areas in order to effectively elicit requirements and translate them into designs.
  • Working as a part of a close-knit, productive team.
  • Identifying the best practices within your particular skillset and area of work.

What we are looking for...

  • Excellent knowledge and experience working with Unreal Engine 4
  • a working knowledge of animation programming
  • Excellent knowledge of C++ with professional experience. 
  • Experience delivering systems or content for a live-service release schedule would be a plus
  • Excellent time management and self-organisation 
  • Experience working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Once upon a game...

An up and coming studio founded and formed by AAA veterans with previous experience in studios such as Zynga and Codemasters, they have come together to make thoughtful artistic games with the player in mind. 

With a very successful mobile game already under their belts, this studio is looking for their next Senior Gameplay Programmer to join the team.

The role you play...

Joining the team as a Senior Gameplay Programmer, you will be responsible for working closely with other engineers and designers to create excellent code and ensure a smooth development process.

What your week might look like...

  • You will be collaborating with coders, designers, artists and engineer to ensure each aspect of the game is polished and functioning to the highest potential.
  • You will be responsible for taking control of the larger tasks within the project.
  • Creating efficient, well-tested code and maintaining excellent code quality throughout. 
  • Constantly prototyping gameplay features and making sure final elements of the game are polished.
  • You will be responsible for implementing content. 
  • Contribute to the technical design of game systems.
  • Listening to player feedback and taking responsibility for putting this into place in the game development process.

What we are looking for...

  • You must have a minimum of 4 years of experience working in C#/C++.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • The ability to think critically and ally problem-solving skills when experiencing complex issues.
  • Have experience taking complete control of complex systems throughout an entire cycle.
  • You will need to be self-motivated.
  • It is essential that you have practical experience with 3D Maths.
  • The ability to establish and resolve any debugging and optimisation issues throughout the project.
  • Extensive experience with Unity3D or similar engines.
  • You must have an eye for detail and be able to appreciate even the smallest aspects of development.
  • It is important that you are able to have a healthy work-life balance.
  • You must be adept when using source control solutions.
