Once upon a game...

An indie studio which made one of the most recognised mobile games on the planet. 31 international awards, over 170mil+ downloads and partnerships with Tencent and Apple Arcade.

This game took the world by storm, redefining what a mobile and premium game could be to its players and the industry.

We are now looking for an experienced programmer to join the studio on the next game in the series to work on our most recognised IP. You will help guide the technical development of our games from inception to delivery, guiding a world class development team to another storming success.

The role you play...

Join them as a Senior Programmer where you will be responsible for making extraordinary products by promoting great collaboration between disciplines and ensuring overall engineering quality.

What your week might look like...

  • Working alongside 3-4 other programmers you will have the opportunity to create develop and establish large gameplay systems.
  • Establishing and maintaining a successful development process.
  • Add your own unique creativity to the project, with a close relationship to the entire process.
  • Working closely alongside various departments such as art and design in order to create a successful product.
  • Create a codebase that can be iterated during the development process and can be successfully maintained thereafter.
  • Ensure excellent code quality and implement good working practices

What we are looking for...

  • Detailed understanding and experience of writing games in Unity/C#.
  • 5+ years game development experience.
  • Extensive knowledge and evidence of the practical application of games engineering technique.
  • Ability to design and create, taking an idea through each stage meticulously.
  • Excellent understanding of 3D games and 3D maths skills.
  • Experience and knowledge of at least one full production cycle.
  • You have an up to date knowledge base and nurtured passion the gaming industry and current trends.

Once upon a game...

A brand new studio rewriting the rules of the untapped niche of fitness gaming. Combining software and hardware to deliver a totally new experience: deep, compelling gaming, high-intensity exercise, zero compromises.

You will get to work on a Fantasy/RPG/Action game where you can have a major impact on big decisions from day one.

This studio has a strong social mission to make exercise exciting for millions of people. They believe in gaming without guilt.

Having secured VC funding from some of the biggest names in Europe and the US, the founders are building their core game team. They're looking for gaming experts who want to go on this journey with them, bringing the mission to life and building fitness gaming as an industry in its own right.

This is your opportunity to be part of a project with global ambitions from the very start; in just 5 months they have sold over $600K of preorders and raised millions in investment, but there are still many crucial product decisions to be made. You would be a key part of laying the foundations.

The role you play...

Join the team as the Senior Programmer. You will take the title from prototype to globally shipped, carving out a game to define a genre, overcoming the challenges and make it fun for everyone who uses the product.

What your week might look like...

  • Working with Studio Leads to define milestones and objectives
  • Rapidly prototype, investigate long term technical solutions and build the foundations of the game
  • Bringing a game to life from prototyping to full worldwide release
  • Understanding the complexities when using hardware and software
  • Have an active involvement in all aspects of the development process
  • Mentoring and supporting the wider engineering team

What we are looking for...

  • Shipped multiple game titles on PC and/or console
  • Experience of full-stack solutions, from idea to finished feature
  • Highly skilled in C++ and/or C#
  • Experience in building tools for designers, pipelines for artists and visualisation tools for gameplay
  • Strong 3D Maths skills
  • Mobile experience preferred
  • Experience leading code or feature team - nice to have
  • Worked with alternative input devices (VR, Wii, Kinect, PS Move etc.) - nice to have
  • Experience using Python and Java - nice to have
