Once upon a game… 

Founded in 2020 by 3 ambitious co-founders and supported by Epic Games, this studio is developing a F2P third-person action MOBA for PC and console. With a core team already in place, they’re currently looking to bring in talented people in several key senior positions.

They have recently closed millions in seed funding and will be closing an additional Series A funding round in the next 6 - 9 months adding an additional 5+ year runway with support from some of the best VCs and Angels in the industry.

Additionally, they already have an active and engaged discord following of 40k+ members with early access release scheduled for this year.

The role you play…

Joining the team as a Lead Character Artist you will be passionate about creating high-quality realistic characters and contributing to a fast-growing studio within the MOBA genre.

What your week might look like…

  • Sculpting high-resolution characters
  • Creating clean game topology, UV’s and textures
  • Working collaboratively with Production to manage the Character Art team’s workflow
  • Working closely with other departments to ensure Character Art meets the game design needs
  • Partnering with Tech Artists and Engineers to develop Character Art pipeline
  • Communicating the visual design of the characters

What we are looking for…

  • 5+ years of experience as a Character Artist
  • Experience working on at least one AAA title
  • Experience of human and creature anatomy
  • Strong Maya skills or experience of similar 3D modelling software
  • Advanced sculpting skills using ZBrush
  • Knowledge of PBR texture/material workflows
  • Experience with Marvelous Designer and clothing creation
  • Real-time hair creation and high-res grooming
  • Hard surface modelling
  • Experience with Substance Painter or Mari
  • Understanding of Rigging and Skinning
  • Knowledge of FACS based facial blendshape creation


  • Familiar with the MOBA genre
  • Experience working in start-up studio/s 
  • Prior experience working on AAA multiplayer titles
