Senior Game Designer - PC/Console

A studio founded by a true legend and veteran of the space.  A career spanning world-leading AAA studio including: Blizzard Entertainment, Riot Games, Bethesda/ZeniMax Media, Io-Interactive (Square Enix). 

A key member of the Management team responsible for the creation, build and leadership of Blizzard Entertainment Europe for the World of Warcraft project and beyond.

Now behind Cornwall' largest game development studio.  Based in Cornwall, the team works to create exciting and innovative video games!

Behind multi-award-winning Multiplayer FPS PC Games to now working with major budgets and backed by a leading Developer/Publisher/Marketer etc.

The role you play...

Join them as a Senior Games Designer to work with the team on UE4 games and help with exciting new projects.

What your week might look like...

  • Setting goals and defining the scope of the project from the pre-production phase.
  • Upholding the design vision of the game.
  • Leading the Design Team on one of their 2 games in development.
  • Working on 2 new IP's which are both FPS games.
  • Understand the high-level vision of the game, collaborating cross-discipline.
  • Identify and manage risks within the schedule and ensure work is delivered in a timely manner as schedule and agreed
  • Work closely with junior members of the team, ensuring their development / help with mentoring and provide support

What we are looking for...

  • At least 5 year’s experience in games, PC/Console design roles, ideally in FPS or action/stealth/adventure games or an interest in.
  • Previous experience of being involved in the planning of the pre-production phase
  • Rapid prototyping experience
  • Passionate, curious, self-motivated and created a great environment for the wider team to grow.
  • Extensive experience devising successful game design elements and principles; including content, systems and mechanics design
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skill.
