With the goal of creating a AAA character-focused title across PC, Console and Switch, this is a studio driven by the motivation to make games that players want to play. With backing from one of the largest American VC firms, they are poised to make this a reality with a major IP.

Responsibilities & Requirements

Joining the team as Senior Gameplay Programmer you will be proficient in Unreal and relish the opportunity to help create the studio’s first title and shape their future franchise.

  • Working under the direction of the Programming Director and Lead Gameplay Programmer on multiple areas of the game
  • Working collaboratively with all departments to deliver on the studio’s project vision
  • Mentoring junior and mid-level Game Programmers
  • Participating in regular code reviews
  • Writing unit tests, functional tests, data validation tests and game-wide automated tests

About You

Working closely across all departments you will be a proactive team player. To be considered you will need the following skills and attributes:

Technical:

  • 4+ years of relevant industry experience
  • In-depth knowledge of Unreal, ideally with at least 1 shipped console title developed in Unreal
  • A degree or postgraduate qualification (or relevant experience) in Computer Science or related subject
  • Demonstrable talent for programming gameplay mechanics
  • Fluent in object-oriented C++ with excellent debugging and documentation skills
  • A clear understanding of systems optimisation
  • Excellent time management and task time estimation skills
  • Excellent problem solving with a solutions-oriented mindset
  • A genuine ambition to make amazing games
